What was once started as a prayer group amongst friends to get each other to pray on a more consistent basis, Tefillin Time is reaching new heights. According to the Torah, other than at one’s wedding, when a man wraps Tefillin there is no other time that he is closer to G-d. Our mission is to provide Tefillin to those in need or to those that would like to educate themselves regarding Tefillin. With each contribution we are one step closer to bringing a Jew closer to G-d!
However, due to the unfortunate circumstances that are going on in the Middle East we are shifting our initiative to provide all essential needs to IDF front line soldiers, and families affected by the war with essentials including: medical supplies, food, clothing and more.

Questions
Answered
What is Tefillin?
Tefillin, or phylacteries, are a set of small black leather boxes with leather straps containing scrolls of parchment inscribed with verses from the Torah. Tefillin are worn by adult Jewish men during weekday morning prayers.
What is the significance of Tefillin?
Wearing tefillin, or phylacteries, makes a pointed statement: We should worship God with both mind and soul, with thought as well as action.
How do you put on Tefillin?
One starts the process of putting on Tefillin by reciting the prayers for both the “shel yad” and “shel rosh” phylacteries in that order. We start by wrapping the “shel yad” around our non-dominant arm seven times, followed by applying the “shel rosh” phylactery. We then proceed to wrap a “shin” around our hand in representation of G-d.
How often do you practice Tefillin?
Tefillin is used for morning prayers by Jewish men over the age of 13 on an almost daily basis. The exceptions are that we don’t use Tefillin on Sabbath and high holidays.

Explain to him that just as a soldier has to be properly equipped for protection…so it is in the case of the Jew who has special “equipment” ordered by G‑d, of which Tefillin is one of the most important, and necessary not only for his own safety but also for the benefit of his fellow servicemen.”
